Code of Conduct

Real People, Real Life

The LeadUp culture begins with me. I take full responsibility for my words and my actions.

Alcohol

Displayed in the activity details, Activity Leaders will specify whether the event is "Alcohol-free" or if "Adult beverages are an individual decision".

  • Drinking alcohol is not permitted at "Alcohol-free" activities. (We honor and support our recovered alcoholic friends)
  • Alcohol will not be permitted at any function where individuals under the age of 21 are welcomed.
  • All LeadUp carpool drivers are considered "Designated Drivers" and will not drink alcohol.
  • All LeadUp friends will use discretion and self-control when enjoying adult beverages. Intoxication is not permitted.
  • LeadUp friends drink responsibly.
Recreational Drugs

All LeadUp activities are drug-free. No recreational drugs are to be used before or during an activity.

Public Affection

In order to make all of our events comfortable, welcoming, and inclusive for all, please use wisdom and discretion when showing public affection.

No-Shows to Activities

Leaders respect people's time. So please respect your volunteer Activity Leaders time, energy and heart. If you can no longer attend an activity, please notify the LeadUp Activity Leader by canceling your reservation on the website at least four (4) hours prior to the activity. Canceling your participation in an activity will not refund your payment, but will remove your $10 no-show fee and above all, will communicate respect and courtesy to your Leader.

As a LeadUp friend, I pledge to embrace the code of conduct and will demonstrate self-control and clarity of thought in all my interactions with all people groups regardless of cultural background, marital status, religion, outward appearance or differing viewpoints.
